"SO YOU THINK YOUR LIFE’S A MOVIE?"
A Master Class In Screenplay Construction
TO BE ANNOUNCED.

(Note: This class is not just for screenwriters. It is for novelists, memoirists, essayists – writers of all genres - who want to learn to get to a good story fast.)

In “So You Think Your Life’s A Movie” , we’ll take a look at the most dramatic, life-changing events in your life and the people involved. Not only will you learn screenplay construction and character development, by the end of the class, you’ll be writing a scene from your own life, casting it from members of the class and putting it on it’s feet.

Every day we will view a scene from an Academy Award winning film and see just what a good scene looks and sounds like.

They say you can’t rewrite history – but in my class you can! You can rewrite the abuse, rewrite the failure, say no to the wrong man, say yes to the right job. You can weed out the players that don’t support you and emphasize those who do. You can move from victim to survivor in a flick of your pen and have a good time doing it.

Or you can just go hog wild and make up a fantasy to your own liking, or adapt something you read in a magazine or newspaper. You can be serious or silly, or somewhere in between, but you will do it expertly.

We’ll also study dialogue, plot points, legal issues, character arcs and have fun along the way. There’s a lot to learn so, be prepared to fly!

Listen to what other students had to say:

“Linda brings clarity, knowledge, and an intense passion for sharing her love of story as relayed through film. I left class with a clear understanding of the process and structure of screen writing.”
--Paula Chaffee Scardamalia, author, speaker, intuitive and creativity coach.

“Linda is great. The way she runs her classes -- with such appreciation and direction -- creates an intimacy that I have learned to use every day writing and relationships.”
--Adam Shomer, TV Writer/Producer
